The Final Post

What I most enjoyed writing about was probably describing personal experiences, like memories from trips or meaningful moments in my life. Writing about these topics felt natural because they are connected to emotions and things I care about, which made expressing myself in English easier and more enjoyable. It also helped me learn how to talk about my past and use specific vocabulary related to places, people, and feelings. What I least enjoyed writing about were more formal or structured tasks, like explaining concepts or analyzing things step by step. These required more precise vocabulary and grammar, which sometimes felt challenging. However, even though it wasn’t as fun, it definitely helped me improve in areas where I struggled. I really enjoyed reading blogs from classmates who shared creative stories or talked about personal projects. For example, posts about hobbies, unique life experiences, or places they visited were always interesting and gave me ideas for improving my own...

Something Special

One of the most special things I have is a cross-shaped silver pendant. I've had it for about five years, when my grandmother gave it to me. She found it after a long time stored and told me that this pendant was originally my dad's. It had been given to him when he was little, on the day of his First Communion, so it has great sentimental value for our family. From the moment I received it, I have never taken it off. I always wear it, and I feel like it's part of me. The pendant is simple but very beautiful. It is made of silver, and although the design of the cross is small and simple, it has a special touch because my dad's name is engraved on the back. Every time I see it, it reminds me of my family, especially my dad and my grandmother. Something I love about this pendant is that it goes with everything. In addition, I feel that it goes perfectly with my colorimetry, which makes it even more special. No matter what clothes I wear, it always looks good and gives a u...

A Piece of Technology

My AirPods are one of my favourite things. I use them mainly to listen to music on the long way back home. That trip becomes heavy and boring, but with the AirPods I can disconnect from the noise and immerse myself in my songs. I also use them when I want to concentrate while I do some college work. I put on my headphones and that helps me focus, blocking the distractions around. I've had them since the beginning of the year because my boyfriend gave them to me. That makes them even more special to me, since not only do they serve me a lot, but every time I use them I remember the gesture and affection of that gift. In addition, they are super easy to use. The first time it was a bit confusing to connect them to the cell phone, but after that they connect themselves automatically. They have touch functions, so I can change the song or the volume without taking out the cell phone, which is very practical when I have my hands busy. Another great thing is the sound quality. It reall...

In this photo I was 2 years old and I was on the beach with my mother and my mother's family. I think we were in Cartagena, in the Fifth Region. I remember sitting in the sand, trying to put on sunglasses that were obviously too big for me. Every time I see photos of that beach, I remember a lot of my grandparents because, since I was very little, we always went to that place together. My grandmother prepared delicious food to take away and my grandfather took me for a walk along the seashore. Although I was very small, those moments remained etched in my memory. The beach in Cartagena always makes me think of them and how happy I felt every time we were there.   In this photo I was 18 years old and I was with my friends from university: Fer, Toto, Nacha, Sofi and Maxi. We had finished our first year of university and this photo is from the day we presented our clothing show, which was the final project of the semester. That year was incredible, I think the best I've had so fa...

Your Semester So Far

This semester has been quite intense, with ups and downs. My favourite class is computational tools because it focusses more on what I like: graphic design. I always learn something new that interests me, and it makes me super entertaining. In addition, the teacher is very friendly and flexible, which makes it even better. I feel like I'm making a lot of progress in this area, and that motivates me. On the other hand, I have not enjoyed the class of processes and prototypes. He focusses a lot on industrial design, which I don't like at all. I don't get along with the tools, and the jobs have been complicated because I feel like I don't have the necessary skills. I don't like the transversal class either, because I'm alone, without my friends, and most of my classmates are from other careers, which makes it uncomfortable. I don't have a very strict weekly plan, but I try to advance as much as possible during classes so as not to leave everything at the end. ...

A School Teacher You Remember

A teacher that I remember a lot about school is Professor Paola. She taught me math, but she also taught in the computational thinking elective. In this elective, he taught me how to program from scratch using games. She was very friendly and was always willing to help her students when they had doubts, both about math and programming. What impressed me most about her was how much she knew about mathematics, she literally looked like a human calculator. He explained everything in a very clear way, and made mathematics easier and even fun. In addition, in the computational thinking elective, he taught us programming in a very entertaining way, always using games that made learning more dynamic. Thanks to her, mathematics became one of my favourite subjects, and I also learned to program, something that now in college has been very useful to me. Everything I learned with her has helped me a lot in my current studies. The last time I saw her was about a month ago, when I went back to scho...
